XIRAN^® styrene maleic anhydride resins are used as leather retanning agents where leather retanning is a good preparation before the upcoming stages (redyeing, fatliquoring and finishing).

The resins used for the retanning are aqueous solutions of the sodium salts of XIRAN^® styrene maleic anhydride and offer the following advantages:

Improved suppleness
Softer leather
Fine grain

XIRAN^® is used in detergents to:

Prevent stains from binding to fabric
Remove soil from fabrics
Inhibit soil deposition in fabrics
Provide soil resistance to fabrics
Dry to a tack free film allowing vacuum pick-up
