Cross-linking agents for enhanced properties

An excellent example of the use of XIRAN^® grades as cross-linking agent (curing agent) is that of Copper Clad Laminates (CCL) for PCB production due to our copolymers’ ability to improve thermal stability and enhance electrical properties.

Epoxy resins need to be cured/ hardened to reach their final properties. The use of XIRAN^®gives cured epoxies the desirable characteristics such as improved electrical properties (lower Df),improved thermal properties (higher Tg) and lower coefficient of thermal expansion. In addition, the cured with XIRAN^® epoxy resins will have improved adhesion as well as higher moisture resistance compared to the standard epoxy.
