On June 23rd, the annual iLinqs festival within the chemical sector was organized by IndustrieLinqs, iTanks and Petrochem in Rotterdam.
On the agenda? The annual election of plant manager, an excellent nomination that rewards a plant manager’s dedication, creativity and perseverance.
The nomination is determined by a part internet votes, a part physical votes in the hall and the largest part is awarded by the jury.
Roel Jolling receives the award and may call himself Plant Manager of the Year for the coming calendar year. A wonderful reward for the growth of both Roel and Polyscope, which in January was acquired by Vertellus from Indianapolis, US.
Jolling says: “I am incredibly proud to receive the Plant Manager of the Year award together with Polyscope. This feels like a reward for the entire team. Each of us must have a flexible attitude in order to produce the wide variety of products. Cleaning the plant and making changes, that takes a lot of resilience. We are therefore the only one in the world to offer the entire range of SMA.”
Roel smiles: “Within Polyscope I wear different hats, that’s part of a growing company. But at the moment I prefer to wear the cap of ‘Plant Manager of the Year'”.
